I betrayed a scared trust between us. The autopsy was undefined, Lying on a cold hard slab of steel,
Unknown hands feeling my body My souls still here ‘CANT YOU SEE?’I scream. The warm rubber smell fills my being,
Though my breath is cold and still
Coagulated clots of blood encrust the surgeons steel, The yellow plasma stains the white ivory gloves, I want to scream, I want to move to let them know I am still here,
But I am lifeless, a slab of meat on a steel chopping block.
